Position Overview
Broadway Housing Communities is seeking reliable, flexible, and nurturing Part-Time On-Call Substitute Teachers to provide classroom coverage on an as-needed basis in our preschool program. Our school follows an art-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum that encourages creativity, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences.

The Part-Time On-Call Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment while implementing classroom routines and lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. This position may work with children ages 2–5 years old and collaborate with teaching teams to ensure continuity of care and instruction.

The Substitute Teacher is expected to follow all BHC policies and procedures, Head Start Performance Standards, NYC Department of Education regulations, Article 47, and other applicable licensing requirements while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate after-school teacher for our art-based and Reggio inspired Early Childhood Programs. This is an after-school program, committed to providing individualized, comprehensive educational services for children ages 2.9 to 5 years old and their families in West Harlem. The teacher manages a classroom in accordance with Head Start and Dept. of Education and Dept. of Health Performance Standards and Regulations, Board of Directors, Policy Council, and Broadway Housing Communities policies and procedures.

The lead teacher plans, organizes, and implements curriculum, completes assessments and observations, and overall classroom management. The lead teacher will also serve as a mentor and model to their assistant teacher and all of their working peers.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate after-school teacher assistant for our art-based and Reggio-inspired Early Childhood Programs. This is an after-school program, committed to providing individualized, comprehensive educational services for children ages 2.9 to 5 years old and their families in West Harlem. Floater Teacher - Educational Services

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and flexible Floater Teacher to join our preschool program. Our school follows an art-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum that fosters creativity, inquiry, and meaningful learning experiences.

The Floater Teacher provides instructional and classroom support across multiple classrooms, ensuring continuity of high-quality care and education when teachers or assistant teachers are absent, during staff breaks, or when additional classroom support is needed. This position works collaboratively with teaching teams to maintain consistent routines, implement developmentally appropriate practices, and support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
