New children’s museum planned for Harlem

Nonprofit developer teams up with noted local artist Faith Ringgold to open an 18,000-square-foot facility in Sugar Hill by 2012, as part of an affordable housing project.

A new children’s museum may soon be coming to Harlem’s Sugar Hill neighborhood.

A nonprofit development organization, Broadway Housing Communities, has teamed up with Harlem-born artist Faith Ringgold to create a children’s museum in the base of a building that will have 124 affordable housing units on 155th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue.
