 After School Program
The
Dorothy Day After School Program operates Monday
through Thursday 40 weeks during the school year and 5 weeks
during the summer. Dedictated tutors and faculty, expert in
their fields, offer a variety of services to students from
grades K to 12 in an integrative learning environment that
promotes Teaching for Understanding and strives to be both
challenging and supportive. Programs include:
- Homework Assistance with expert tutors in all academic
subjects
- One-on-One tutoring
- Weekly intensive Math Lab conducted by a Masters Level
Mathematician
- Weely intensive Reading Lab conducted by a Masters Level
Reading Specialist
- Weely intensive Technology Lab conducted by a Masters
Level Instructional Technologist
- Writing Workshops conducted by professional writers
- Comprehensive Arts components with performing and visual
arts and a range of cultural activities
- Recreational activities with access to nearby Riverbank
